Itineraries
Arrival
Previous Evening / Early Morning Arrival at Aiyur
Arrive at Aiyur, one of the key access points for the Guthirayan Peak trek. Trekkers coming from distant cities can plan to reach the area earlier and stay near Aiyur or at the forest rest house, subject to availability and booking. This helps reduce early-morning travel stress and gives enough time to prepare for the trek.
Reporting
Reporting and Briefing at Aiyur Ecotourism Centre
Report at the Aiyur Ecotourism Centre or the designated reception point. Complete the basic formalities, document verification, trek registration, and permit-related checks. Meet the forest guide or trek coordinator who will accompany the group through the trail.
Before heading to the trail, the guide will explain the route, forest rules, safety instructions, difficulty level, expected duration, and do’s and don’ts inside the forest. Trekkers should carry enough water, light snacks, personal medication, a cap, rain protection if required, and wear proper trekking shoes. Since this is a tough forest trek, maintaining group discipline is important.
